Nanjiang village, Lake Town, Yongding County, is situated between the Castle Peak. The stream flows through the village. 23 earthen buildings and a unique "daughter forest" have witnessed the village's history of more than 400 years.

In August 20th, the provincial Office of livable environment construction headquarters issued a circular calling on all parts of the province to learn from the experience of building beautiful villages in 3 villages, such as Yongding Lake Town, Nanjiang village and Xishan village, Haicang District, Xiamen and Zhenghe County.

Where is the charm of Nanjiang village? What is experience? In September 12th, reporters and his colleagues went deep into Nanjiang village to visit its "beautiful" story.

Village cadres take turns in mountain patrol.

Yongding county county building is composed of five administrative villages, Nanjiang village is one of them.

The terraced fields and the terraced buildings of the vast Yellow Rice stand against each other. The stream flows through the stone bridge, the pavilions beside the streams, and the view is pastoral. Like the miniature version of the "little Jiangnan" - arriving at Nanjiang village, a beautiful picture of the countryside spreads out before us.

Nanjiang village has an area of 1982 mu, an area of 9200 Mu and a forest coverage of 75%. Dao Ming, a party branch of the village Party, told reporters that the single cropping rice planted by villagers is about to enter the harvest season.

"In the early years, the mountain is another scene," said Jiang Dao Ming. The villagers used to cut trees in the mountains. Some villagers wanted to get firewood for daily use. Part of it was to illegally cut trees for money.

In November 2005, Jiang Daoming, 50, went back to the village to serve as village secretary. In the village, he became the first private hydropower station in Yongding County in 1990.

After taking office, Jiang Daoming and the two members of the new village decided to close the mountain for afforestation, and told the villagers that even if the dead trees were to be cut down, they needed to apply for approval by the logging department to the county forestry department. In order to implement the policy of closing the mountain, the cadres in different villages took turns to patrol the mountain, and persisted for 2 years. Jiang Daoming said, "some villagers used to steal trees as a way to make a living. They could not cut trees for 2 years, so they had to go out to work."

After closing the mountain, the greening in the village followed closely. Today, Nanjiang village has replanted more than 2000 greening seedlings, and restored 2 farmers' parks. Along the banks of Jinfeng River, more than 800 willows and Bougainvillea are planted, and a Riverside Garden has been built.

The honey cause of Beekeepers

The "Lazi" mountain has turned into a green hill.

In the interview, he just came back from the mountain. In the early morning, he went to the mountains and stocked 8 boxes of bees. Jiang Gengsheng, 43, has been raising bees for more than 20 years, but by 2010 he had only more than 10 boxes of bees.

After 2010, the scale of beekeeping increased year by year, first forty or fifty boxes, then seventy or eighty boxes, and this year reached more than 150 boxes. "The quality of winter honey is good and its selling price is high. Our mountain forest has become a sweet osmanthus tree. It has become the best source of honey in winter." in the past 4 years, the winter honey has been very productive. He attributed it to the strict forestation and village greening in the village. Last year, he earned nearly 100 thousand yuan by selling honey alone, of which 1/3 of honey was sold to tourists. This year, the winter honey has not been exploited, and customers from Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Longyan have placed orders for him.

Jiang Geng has raised more than 30 thrush each year, averaging three thousand or four thousand yuan per head, and most of these thrush are also sold to tourists.

Last year, Jiang built a 100 square meter new house by saving about 400000 yuan.

Nowadays, many villagers in Nanjiang are making money by relying on bamboo forests, red persimmon, ginger and tourism.

"Daughter forest" is full of bright red cloth.

Across the village of Nanjiang village, there are pine forests and mountain jujube trees on the mountain.

Jiang Jianbo, a village clerk, said that the ancestors of Nanjiang village were moved from the high head township of Yongding, because they were built on the mountain. Most of the fields in the village were terraced fields in the mountains. It is rumored that more than 400 years ago, when a village woman married, she thought of her parents' hard work to and from the mountain road to the terraced fields, and planted a pine tree beside the mountain road. This was followed by the villagers. Since then, every time they marry a girl, the family will plant a pine tree along the mountain path.

"There is no intention of planting willows and willow trees." today, 3.5 kilometers of mountain roads, more than 3000 pine trees and mountain jujube trees on both sides, the oldest pine tree has a history of more than 400 years, requiring two people to embrace. Many trees have bright red stripes on their crowns.

"Now, when someone goes to university, he will also plant a tree on his daughter Lin," Jiang Jianbo said. For more than 400 years, even during the most rampant period of illegal logging, no one has ever played the idea of "daughter Lin". Every year, a major traditional festival, after going out to the local villagers or their descendants, will take the mountain road under the "daughter forest" and replace the bright red cloth for the trees planted by their ancestors.

There are 415 residents in Nanjiang village, with a population of 1518. "Almost every household has overseas Chinese overseas, including Taiwan, Macao, Hongkong, Singapore..." Village documents Jiang Jianbo told reporters.

In addition, the importance of education has led many readers to walk out of the village and enter shopping malls or officialdom. As the old private school in Nanjiang village, Jingde hall once had a glorious history of "eight students and nine top scholars". Among the 9 top scholars, 8 were formal students, and the remaining 1 were among the top students. The villagers who go out are still in the heart of Nanjiang. The village archway and the stream brook Pavilion were all built by the local villagers. The sanitation fund used in the village is also funded by villagers.

Old wells in Zhen Yang Building

23 well preserved earth buildings in Nanjiang village are scattered on both sides of the Jinfeng Creek. Among them, the Zhen Yang building has been in existence for more than 400 years, and it is the oldest building in the village. At the peak, more than 500 people lived in the same place. There are still more than 20 old villagers left behind.

The abundant water resources that the mountain forest conserved moistens these ancient buildings. In the well of the Zhen Yang building, the reporter holds the water ladle and can fill the well with a full ladle of water, and taste it so sweet and delicious.

The ancestors of Nanjiang village were moved from Yongding's high head Township, and there were also earthen buildings. More than 400 years ago, these relocated people built different kinds of earthen buildings with square, rectangular, round, octagonal and earth skips, which made the "wonderful works of architecture" in Nanxi tlou ditch.

On the edge of the Zhen Yang building, there is a row of stone piers. The stone piers originally came to the toilet. Now, all these toilets have been demolished. The vacant land has already been shaded by trees and become a new leisure spot for the villagers.

Today, the village committee has built several free public toilets. In terms of environmental hygiene, the village committee employs 3 full-time cleaners to collect and clean up domestic waste. The village committee members are responsible for the hygiene of the river. "Whoever takes charge of the river has garbage, and whoever will pick it up," Jiang Daoming told reporters that the village committee also cleaned up a sewage ditch of 1500 meters to ensure that the sewage discharged smoothly and without deposition.

Why can the water of old wells be so sweet? In addition to the forest's water conservation, it is also related to the clean environment in the village. " An old man in the building of Zhen Yang said.

Not far from the village, there is a peasant Park, which was built in 2007 in the village where 10 houses were demolished.

To build a new house, we need to pay a deposit to the village committee.

Nanjiang village, built along the Jinfeng River, is surrounded by dozens of brick and concrete houses on both sides of the village road. The structural styles are different, but the outer walls are all painted with yellow earth.

In accordance with the principle of "demolishing old houses and building new houses less", the construction of villages that have been built for many years, without formalities, but in line with the planning, can be demolished without demolition. The owners themselves will carry out facade renovation, while the "two violation" buildings will be demolished.

Jiang Daoming said that since the beginning of 2006, when the villagers asked the villagers to build a new house, they needed to pay a deposit to the village committee, while requiring the uniform color of their fa ade. The seemingly overbearing approach has been endorsed by the overwhelming majority of villagers. In fact, the villager's idea is the same as our village cadres, that is, we can not let the colorful green tiles destroy the original ecological beauty of Nanjiang village. Jiang Daoming said.

The place where people want to come.

According to Jian Shangbin, director of Yongding urban and rural planning and Construction Bureau, in August 3rd, Wang Shengxi, deputy director of the Department of housing and urban and rural construction and deputy director of the office of the provincial livable environment construction Command Office, inspected Nanjiang village, and praised Nanjiang village as "a place where we wanted to come, but also hoped to be able to live." Wang Shengxi believes that the experience of the beautiful countryside construction mainly includes: normalization of project implementation, vegetable land in front of house, ecological construction of greenway, spontaneity of environmental improvement, and diversification of fund raising.

In the absence of major demolition and construction, Nanjiang village has maintained the natural and local flavor, improved the rural living environment, created a new countryside with beautiful pastoral scenery, and more importantly, retained homesickness.
